The Zakat Committee in the Wilayat of Al Qabil is one of 66 committees operating under the umbrella of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in the Sultanate of Oman, which were formed by ministerial decree in each of the Sultanate’s wilayats. Its main task is to collect zakat from the rich and distribute it to the poor.
