The Zakat Committee of Samad al-Shan, affiliated with the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, was officially established in 2018. The committee aims to serve the public good by supporting low-income families in the region and oversees a variety of volunteer activities. Throughout the year, the committee implements several charitable projects. The committee consists of a Chairperson, a Deputy Chairperson for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and heads of seven sub-committees (Administrative, Financial, Media, Family Affairs, Community Service, Housing, and Women's Affairs). It is worth noting that the committee operates within the Samad al-Shan area, covering its eleven districts: Ba'd, Al-Jarda', Andam, Al-Khadra', Al-Rawdah, Al-Akhdar, Al-Shari'ah, 'Aliyat Samad, Al-Ma'murah, Al-Maysar, and Lazq.
